A Call to all Western Highlanders for WHDF Annual Membership & Subscription Registration 2011
This call is made out to over 900 members of Western Highlands Development Forum (WHDF) online via Facebook membership and over 1,000 WHP elites on my e-mail listing, that the annual membership registration and subscription fee of K100 per person is open as of Monday, 01st August 2011 to Sunday, 30th September 2011.
As per the WHDF Constitution, any person from, of, or related (in whatever kind) to Western Highlands Province and currently employed in a private, corporate, government, State-owned Enterprise, Non-Governmental Organization, Civil Society Organization, donor/ development, or self-employment agencies or entities are called upon by the Interim Executive Committee of WHDF Inc to formally lodge their COMPLETED annual membership and subscription registration forms via e-mail, facsimile, or hand delivery to the following address:

Professional and educated men and women (elites) of, from, or related to Western Highlands Province who are employed and living anywhere in Western Highlands, Papua New Guinea, or overseas are invited under this Call to voluntarily register in order to become Financial Members of WHDF Inc. Financial Members have the legal mandate to (1) vote in the AGM, (2) nominate for fellow members for positions within the Board of Trustees, (3) qualify as candidates for the various positions in the Board of Trustees, and (4) attend exclusively 'members-only' meetings/ events.
University and college students from, of, or related to Western Highlands Province studying and living anywhere in Western Highlands, Papua New Guinea, and overseas are invited to register payment of K50 per head, as per our Constitutional requirement. This group would be registered as Associate Members; which is different from the Financial Members. Once students graduate from universities, colleges, or other institutions with technical certificates, diplomas or degrees (BA to PhD), they will then be allowed to register as Financial Members of WHDF Inc as per Constitutional requirement.
Parents, family members, and relatives of elites of Western Highlands and anyone in the general public wishing to support the noble cause of WHDF Inc may register payment of K50 per head, and join also as Associate Members. This group includes people from other provinces and foreigners who have a vested interest in the growth and development of Western Highlands.
The total amount of the funds raised through this membership registration would go towards setting up the WHDF Secretariat in Mt. Hagen in 2011. We will have staff employed to manage the daily operations of the WHDF in Mt. Hagen. This office will facilitate partnerships with all key stakeholders in WHP to achieve the objectives of the WHDF Inc. Once more funding is made available by foreign aid donors, WHP government, the national government, and private funding ventures, the Secretariat will be given sufficient resources to implement programs and projects targeting law and order in WHP for the good of all people in, from, and related to WHP.

This is a voluntary call for registration for all concerned WHP elites and associates in WHP, PNG, and overseas. If you feel that it is about time you wish to be part of a non-political, independent, think-thank, non-profit, and self-sustaining organization which is dedicated to the collective good of our people in WHP for the current and future generations, you are welcome to respond accordingly.
