Papua New Guinea Programs Coordinator

• International Development position.

• Make a difference in a diverse role which focuses on reducing HIV and STIs, promoting adult literacy, strengthening institutions, working for gender equality and sustainable community development in PNG.

• Work with grassroots church organisations which work in some of the most remote areas of PNG.

The position of Papua New Guinea Programs Coordinator, reporting to the Programs Director, is responsible for: 

• Managing ABM PNG Community Development Programs focused on HIV & STI prevention, water and sanitation, sustainable projects, gender, adult literacy and institutional capacity building;
• Assessing and reporting on potential capacity building of PNG partners;
• Submitting Annual Activity Plans, Reports and Acquittals for AUSAID related programs;
• Ensuring good communications with partners in PNG;
• Liaising with other Church and relevant NGO agencies in PNG; and preparing regular reports on current programs for the country.

The selection criteria for this position is based on:

• Experience in the non government aid sector;
• Experience working with small church and/or community organisations in a cross-cultural setting;
• Project management skills with financial, political and cultural acumen within budgetary restraints;
• Knowledge of and/or experience in PNG; and relevant tertiary qualifications.

This role is full time and based at ABM Australia's office in Sydney with regular travel to PNG. Applicants must be Australian citizens.
